I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Trinity Western University. I am a Certified Clinical Counsellor in good standing with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCC). My approach is grounded in Humanistic Theory, the idea that each person has beautiful potential within them. Through offering a safe, emphatic, non judgemental, genuine space we can gain insight into the conflicts that are interfering with their natural development and growth; increasing self-awareness and self-acceptance. I have always been drawn to therapeutic approaches that include exploring the whole person (emotional, physical, spiritual) and to making therapy as practical as possible so my clients have tangible tools they can start to use immediately. I am very interested in helping clients understand how their thoughts and perceptions play a significant role in their physical and emotional reactions and how stress and anxiety can be effected through mindfully retraining their automatic thoughts.

I was privileged to serve as the first Program Director at Mercy Canada, a residential Counselling program for women. I am currently a sessional Psychology Professor at Trinity Western University where I love teaching students about Psychology. I have been working in Private Practice for over 10 years consider it an honour to walk with my clients through difficult season in their lives.
